Communications role

The team at Bridge Farm is growing!

We need someone to help with social media posts and updating our website, as part of our community engagement strategy.

Bridge Farm is a community-led housing project. That means we are literally building a community from the ground up, with lots of green space, shared facilities, and sustainability at its heart. It’s really important that Bridge Farm is OF the community as well as FOR the community, so we want to get as many people as possible involved, whether volunteering on our Work Days, feeding in designs and ideas, or just coming along to buy our tasty pizza on a Friday afternoon.

There’s lots going on at Bridge Farm and plenty of great stories to tell. Your role will be to work with the project managers, posting photos and stories, to keep people talking and grow our supporter numbers.

You’ll need to be proficient across all social media, and able to update the website to keep it fresh and relevant. Some experience of working in community-led projects would be an advantage. You will be self-employed for this role, and you can work flexibly. While it’s only for a few hours a week (maximum 6 hours) it’s a key role and you will be a valued member of the team.

At present we are preparing a planning application for Bridge Farm and this role is to support that process, so it is expected to last 6 months February-July, but may be extended beyond this.

To apply please send cv with details of your experience, and a covering letter setting out your proposed charges, to: bridgefarmcomms@gmail.com by 10pm on Sunday 16th February.
